Tow-Money Subsidy

To encourage broad national participation and help offset the travel costs associated with off-road racing, all race drivers entered by 1 February will be eligible to receive a tow-money subsidy. The subsidy is scaled according to the distance competitors must travel to the event, recognising that Auckland-based competitors generally incur lower transport costs than those travelling from further afield.

The Counties Manukau Offroad Racing Club provides this subsidy to help level the playing field and make competing at the Mickey Thompson New Zealand Offroad Grand Prix – Round 1 of the CT CIVIL New Zealand Offroad Racing Championship, more accessible to off-road racers from across New Zealand. Tow-money will be paid on race day to competitors who have ENTERED and PAID before midnight on 1 February 2026. This will allow the promotions team to complete the race day programme in good time, and allow the Race Organisers to book the right amount of toilets, showers and caterers for the event.
