Welcome to the Mickey Thompson New Zealand Polaris Offroad Grand Prix
Offroad Grand Prix is the earliest championship for stadium offroad racing in New Zealand. Inspired by the Mickey Thompson Offroad Championship Grand Prix series, held in California during the 1980’s.
Offroad Grand Prix was a game changer for this sport. It’s about to be a game changer again, as the Mickey Thompson New Zealand Offroad Grand Prix comes to Manukau International Offroad Stadium for the first time this November.
What’s special about the GP is its history? In 1989 Ian Foster raced and won the first NZ Offroad Grand Prix. He also won in 1990, 1991 and in 1992 it was won by Tony McCall. These races were televised and can be found now on You Tube. In 2009 it was raced for in Hamilton at Claudelands Showgrounds and was won by Ray Olsen. In 2015 the Offroad Grand Prix was won by Ollie McCall.
This summer the Offroad Grand Prix returns to Auckland.
The Mickey Thompson New Zealand Polaris Offroad Grand Prix is Stadium Offroad Racing and brings the Action, Thrills and Spills to Manukau International Offroad Stadium and TV’s throughout New Zealand.
