Public Announcement: Event Postponed
We regret to announce the postponement of the Offroad Grand Prix and Dunlop Rally Sprint, originally scheduled for 7 December 2024. Due to lower-than-expected entry numbers, the event will now occur on Saturday, 1 February 2025.
We have also CANCELLED the event scheduled for 18 January 2025.
Please note, the event on 1 February will also serve as Round 1 of the New Zealand Offroad Racing Championship 2025.
All paid entries remain valid, and the grid positions assigned to competitors will be honoured for the new race date. Updated entry forms will be available on our website soon.
The decision to postpone was made after careful consideration, as we received only 14 paid entries with less than two weeks to go before the original event. Despite our efforts to promote a reduced entry fee, the response has been limited. We believe it is in the best interests of both competitors and spectators to ensure a stronger field of entries, and we owe it to our sponsors and fans to provide an event of the highest quality.
We fully understand the challenges of balancing business and racing commitments, and this postponement has been made with the future of the sport in mind. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work towards delivering a more exciting and competitive event on 1 February 2025.
